CSA Engineering has initiated a new product line that answers the need for stable and precise mounts for optics operating in harsh environments. The mounts retain the performance, thermal properties and alignment capacity of existing commercial-grade mounts, while adding design elements for more severe conditions, including high shock and operation in sensors and systems mounted on vehicles. The product focus is mid-sized and larger optics, typically those having apertures greater than 50 mm. Mark Mimovich of CSA will present a technical overview of the product titled "Optical Mounts for Harsh Environments" Wednesday August 5 in Advances in Optomechanics Symposium, part of SPIE's Optics and Photonics meeting held in San Diego.
