Project Engineer / Finite Element Analysis (MV502)

Mountain View, California
CSA Engineering is seeking Project Engineers with coursework background in finite element analysis and 6 to 10 years work experience. The position involves creating and analyzing structural dynamics (finite element) models of (1) aerospace structures, aircraft components, medical equipment, and semiconductor manufacturing equipment, and (2) damping and isolation systems built into or added to these structures. Analysis will include normal and complex modal analysis, and dynamic responses in both time and frequency domains. Responsibilities will include building and executing structural models, modifying existing models to include damping and/or isolation, correlation of analytical models with dynamic measurements, working with design and test engineers, and interfacing with customers. Qualified applicants will have a M.S. in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering with a strong background in finite element analysis. Modeling experience is required with tools such as IDEAS or FEMAP. Strong applicants will be proficient in NASTRAN and MATLAB proficient, will have experience in techniques of vibration analysis, and will have good oral and written communication skills. Experience with viscoelastic materials and background in vibration isolation and/or passive damping design are a plus.

Position involves some travel and may require a temporary stay in southern Oregon.

• Employee Contribution - If an employee elects, up to $15,500 of his/her salary may be contributed
• Catch-Up Contribution Limit - For those over 50 years old, $5,000 may be contributed
• Employer Matching - CSA will match 100% of the employee's first 3% contribution and 50% of the employee's contribution between 3% and 5%, for a maximum of 4%
• Retirement Savings - CSA may contribute an additional amount to the employee's account.
