CSA Engineering is adding to its staff to support our continued growth. We are seeking outstanding people to lead engineering and overall efforts in several product areas and market segments. Our company is centered on engineering, and a strong technical background is highly desirable. With additional sales support and worldwide market access provided by our parent company, Moog Inc., we have new opportunities to apply more broadly our technologies in vibration suppression, precision motion control and related areas. Our primary focus is aerospace and defense, so familiarity with the industry and specific programs is valuable. Our customers also serve transportation, energy, medical and other industries. Positions are available in Mountain View, CA and Albuquerque, NM.

Electro-Mechanical / QA Technician

Albuquerque, NM

Candidates for this position must have sound “hands-on” experience with electromechanical devices typically used in a structural-mechanical laboratory, a fundamental knowledge of mechanical design, drawings, and geometric tolerances, basic machining techniques (i.e. drill press, hand tools, etc.), basic computer skills (i.e. Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint), and knowledge of measurement equipment calibration and maintenance. Any training or certifications in equipment calibration and quality assurance processes is highly desirable.

Specific responsibilities associated with this position are: basic mechanical design, drawing generation, procurement and oversight of machine shop produced hardware, basic machining and assembly of mechanical components and test fixtures, oversight and scheduling of laboratory equipment maintenance and calibration, and generation and maintenance of AS9100 certified laboratory procedures and work instructions. In addition, the candidate will be expected to run experiments under the supervision of an engineer. The types of laboratory measurement devices include force, displacement, velocity, and acceleration transducers, charge and current-mode signal conditioners, cabling, and data acquisition system interfaces.

Familiarity with SolidWorks or other 3-D CAD software tools, vibration and acoustics testing, data acquisition, modal analysis, signal processing, Matlab, and LabVIEW are also highly desired. The position includes a low-level of technical writing of test procedures and work instructions thus adequate written and oral communication skills are required. Applicants should possess an associates degree or higher or equivalent experience and have a demonstrated interest or previous experience in mechanical design, fabrication, and mechanical testing. U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain a secret level clearance are also required.
