Structural Dynamicist
Moog CSA Engineering is seeking a structural dynamicist who is familiar with analysis of high-performance mass-constrained structures, with specific experience involving structures for space flight systems. Duties include: structural analysis, developing vibration mitigation techniques for a space flight systems, developing hardware requirements, participating in design meetings, writing test plans, and data analysis. This engineer will work as part of a team dedicated to designing, building, and testing complex systems.
Education, Training & Experience
BS or MS degree in Mechanical, Civil or Aerospace Engineering from an ABET accredited institution with an excellent academic record. Experience in the classical vibrations and dynamics of structural systems using strength of materials and finite element based methods is required. Familiarity with vibration suppression systems and space structures is desired. Experience with the application of the finite element method to perform statics, random vibration, coupled loads, and vibroacoustic analysis is very desirable as well as experience in dynamics testing. Experience with NASTRAN, MATLAB, and FEMAP is desired. Excellent communication skills are required. Candidate must be a U.S. citizen. Related experience expected is 5 years with a B.S. degree or 3 with an M.S.
