Moog CSA Engineering is adding to its staff to support our continued growth. We are seeking outstanding people to lead engineering and overall efforts in several product areas and market segments. Our business is centered on engineering, and a strong technical background is highly desirable. With additional Moog sales support and worldwide market access, we have new opportunities to apply more broadly our technologies in vibration suppression, precision motion control, systems engineering and related areas. Our primary focus is aerospace and defense, so familiarity with the industry and specific programs is valuable. Our customers also serve transportation, energy, medical and other industries. Positions are available in Mountain View, CA and Albuquerque, NM.

Mechanical Design Engineer - Entry Level

Moog CSA Engineering is looking for a Mechanical Engineer for an entry level position within the design group in Mountain View, CA. Moog CSA specializes in vibration suppression and precision motion control. The company provides engineering services and builds highly engineered products for applications in systems ranging from space launch vehicles to aircraft, ground vehicles and semiconductor manufacturing equipment.  The position will be a member of a team responsible for hardware development, design, manufacture, assembly, and test. The position will be responsible for working side-by-side with other engineers as well as working in the engineering laboratory and cleanroom with our technicians. US citizens only.

Essential Functions / Responsibility

  • Support vibration isolation development efforts as part of a team
  • Create 3D models and machine drawings using CAD Software
  • Assemble hardware in the engineering laboratory and cleanroom environment
  • Support lab activities, hands-on
  • Support hardware test efforts with fixture design, assembly, and testing
  • Support small scale product development
  • Provide engineering services to other groups in our company

Qualifications / Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering
  • Knowledge of CAD Software and 3D modeling
  • Experience with creating and reading machine drawings

Desired Characteristics

  • Machine shop experience
  • Hands-on approach to problem solving
  • Class work in the theory of vibration\
  • Class work in finite element analysis
  • Pneumatic and Hydraulic design experience
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Good organizational and interpersonal skills
